SmartSite LLC Named Silver “Company of the Year”
SmartSite LLC named Silver “Company of the Year” in 2013 International Business Awards
Charles County, MD firm earns world wide recognition for state-of-the-art construction services.
SmartSite LLC, a local construction site-development firm, was named 2013 Silver Stevie® Award Company of the Year in the Materials and Construction category in this year’s 10th Annual International Business Awards (IBA). The International Business Awards – the world’s premier business awards program – is a competition among individuals and organizations of all sizes, capabilities, and industries from around the globe.
SmartSite LLC — specializing in residential neighborhood site development and lot delivery — was selected among peer nominees in the category of Materials and Construction for presentation of the “Silver Stevie for Company of the Year” at the upcoming Gala Awards Banquet to be held at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on 14 October.
“SmartSite is on a path that is changing the conventional development risk paradigm between owners, consultants, and contractors” said Partner Frank Duduk. “This paradigm shift delivers markedly improved transparency between project members – helping increase predictability, shorten delivery times and improve profitability across the board.”
“The 2013 International Business Awards are noteworthy for featuring the best collection of entries we have ever received,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “The judges have been unanimous in their comments about the quality of achievements, and the expertise with which they were portrayed, in the nominations we received this year. We extend our most heartfelt congratulations to all of this year’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners.”
“We are truly honored to be selected among such tremendous competition”, said SmartSite LLC Partner Pat Hobbs. “We’ve worked really hard in establishing new standards of transparency and profitability for our clients and their contractors, and it’s quite a testament to be recognized with this prestigious honor from such a distinguished panel of judges.”
SmartSite case studies of its two top clients (St. Charles Companies and Elm Street Development) have been featured in recent industry magazine articles in Site Prep Magazine and by the Maryland National Capital Builders Industry Association.
Furthering its sustainability activities, SmartSite was instrumental in working with the National Association of Home Builders’ Home Innovation Research Labs in achieving “Green Approved” accreditation if its “SmartBase-Hybrid” materials. SmartSite, LLC is the only distributer of Green Approved SmartBase-Hybrid, which is manufactured exclusively by SoilSafe, Inc. SmartSite’s integrated forest management concept for St. Charles has also proved a great success – culminating earlier this year in the hard earned certification of over 3,500 a cres of undeveloped forest under the internationally recognized Sustainable Forestry Initiative program.
2013 Stevie Award winners were selected among more than 3,300 individual and company nominees across a wide range of categories, with more than 250 executives participating in the judging process.
